Derek Yixin is an associate at Floyd Zadkovich, advising clients in the international trade, maritime, commodities and energy sectors in commercial arbitration and litigation in the English Courts. He acts for shipowners, operators, traders, Clubs and others across these sectors on complex cross-border transactions and disputes.

Derek has experience advising on a range of international commercial arbitrations under all the major institutional regimes including the ICC, LCIA, SIAC, ADCCAC. Derek also has experience advising on charterparty disputes under the LMAA Terms, as well as ad-hoc arbitrations under the Arbitration Act 1996.

Before joining Floyd Zadkovich, Derek gained experience at a top-tier US firm in London as an associate in their International Arbitration and Construction & Engineering Groups in London. Prior to qualification, Derek obtained experience in the Construction & Engineering, Commercial Litigation and Debt Finance Groups in London, and with the Capital Markets Group in Paris.
