Calum Cheyne is a partner at Floyd Zadkovich, specialising in complex international trade disputes.

Calum is particularly highly regarded for his work within and relating to the maritime sector.  Calum is a trusted advisor to household name institutions across the maritime space and is regularly called on to advise where disputes are complex, cross border and high-value.

Calum’s disputes practice spans arbitration (LMAA, LCIA, ICC and other international institutions) and litigation.  Calum is regularly involved in expedited applications before arbitral tribunals and Courts seeking urgent relief or security measures, including freezing orders and other forms of injunctive relief.

Calum is involved in disputes across all commodities classes and vessel types in the maritime space, with particular sub-sector knowledge in the liner trade, as well as the transport of energy and bulk commodities.  Calum is a core partner in the firm’s LNG space, and advises a number of owners, charterers and traders in the LNG market.

Calum’s practice also spans digitisation and disruptive technology, particularly its impact on international trade and trade finance.  Calum leads the Floyd Zadkovich Web3 practice, where he advises clients on projects and disputes involving the integration of blockchain technology.  Calum acts for a number of Web3 companies, from established entities to new market entrants.
